    A boy from Kushinagar

    Jainul Abedin grows up in a small town in eastern Uttar Pradesh. The distance between Kushinagar and a launchpad is measured in more than kilometres — and he decides, early, to close it.

  2. Chapter II

    The leap

    Days before his final-semester exam of a master's in space science, he walks away from the paper and boards a train to Hyderabad. The mission cannot wait for a certificate.

  3. Chapter III

    Government backing

    Guided by mentors from ISRO. Recognised by the Department of Science & Technology and IN-SPACe. The country begins to notice.

  4. Chapter IV

    First capital

    Abyom closes its debut angel round. Belief becomes budget. A company that lived on paper begins to live in metal.

    Boeing BUILD 3.0

    Abyom is named national winner of Boeing BUILD 3.0 at IIT Delhi — the first public confirmation that the mission is not a solo dream.

    150+ engine tests

    The team runs more than a hundred and fifty battleship engine tests on ethanol-fuelled propulsion. Every burn is a lesson. Every lesson earns its place in flight.

  7. Chapter VII

    A reusable rocket

    Abyom begins building what India has not yet built for itself — a fully reusable launch vehicle. Fly. Land. Fly again.

Abyom's Rocket Engine Test Facility — a containerised platform for engines up to 10 kN thrust, built in collaboration with PIEDS — has hosted 150+ battleship hot fires. Ethanol-fuelled. Instrumented to the millisecond. Every valve, every weld and every line of flight code earns its place through hours of testing — then, and only then, flight.
